Sportfishing Options in Loreto
Loreto is known for it's yellowtail fishing which is best February through May. Dorado and yellowfin tuna begin to arrive in June and are best July through October. Blue marlin and sailfish are best July through September. Cabrilla, snapper and bass are caught throughout the year. Need tackle? For a recommended list of tackle, check out our general tackle list.

Super Panga
Charter Information - Charter a super panga for 6 hourshours. Fishing in this area is best from March to November. Please email us for current rates and information. Check out our photo gallery for fishing pictures.
Optional Tours and Golf

Loreto Town Tour - In 1697 the area know known as Loreto was established at California's first settlement by Jesuit priest and
explorer Juan Maria Salvatierra. Learn about the rich history of the first capital of California during a guided tour of the town and its'
major landmarks. Evening tours conclude with dinner at local restaurant, El Nido.

Coronado Island - Sand and Snorkel - Enjoy a day exploring the beautiful white sand beaches and clear, turquoise waters of Isla Coronado. Your trip includes a tour around the island in a panga boat to observe local wildlife. Jacque Cousteau call the Sea of Cortez the "world's aquarium" after which you will dropped off at one of Coronado's beaches to swim, snorkel, wander the island's hiking trails or simpy soak up the sun on the white sand. Snorkel gear, picnic lunch and beverages included.

Cave Paintings - Journey west from Mulege into the foothills of the Guadalupe Mountains and step into the past. You will hike with an experienced guide through beautiful desert scenery and swim in canyons to reach the Cuevas Pintas (painted caves). The tour involves strenuous activity and is recommended for guests with a good level of physical fitness.

Whale Watching - Every year in January, the islands of Loreto National Marine Park becomes home of 9 different species of whales. These magnificent whales remain in the Park until March. You will get to the Marine Park by boat where you may see the whales up close and personal, playing in front of your boat. Great photo opportunities for migrating birds, dolphins, sea lions, mantas, and occasional Fin Whales, Sperm Whales, Humpback Whales, whale-sharks and turtles. Tour includes snack, snorkel gear, and drinks.

Golf - The David Duval Signature Course is currently being renovated and once it’s finished it will become the first North American David Duval Signature course. David is the 2001 winner of the British Open. The course is being renovated by using eco-focused management systems and other principles of substainable development. The proposed landscape is a natural extension of the environment, featuring native plants and seaside vegetation. The front nine will be a links-style course with gently sloping fairways and the back nine will in incorporate mangroves with water coming into play on many holes.   Currently, only nine holes are playable, but it is not recommended.  At this time there are no green fees and no charge for golf cart rentals, but golf clubs and balls can be rented from the Concierge at the Inn at Loreto Bay.
